Tracey Cravedi
Executive Director
Tracey has been the Executive Director of Hale House since 2009. No detail is too large or small for her: from state-level lobbying to capital budgets to table centerpieces, Tracey is hands-on. She is only able to relax by hiring competent and dedicated managers who follow through with her supervision of facilities, nursing, admissions, accounting and development to ensure the highest level of care and daily life for our residents. Tracey balances her professional duties with her busy family of 7 in Central MA.

Jill Gemelli
Administrator
At Hale House since 2010, Jill is the person who seeks out, screens and admits new residents who will benefit from the amenities at Hale House while bringing personalities and outlooks that will mesh with the rest of our harmonious little community. Jill is also responsible for organizing a range of resident services that benefit both the individual and group dynamics. She stays on top of current industry best practices as well as the custom needs of each person to ensure that everyone enjoys their best life possible. After hours she goes home to her own home that she shares with her husband, two sweet girls and a very active dog.

Jannine Austris
Director of Nursing
With 20 years of experience in healthcare, Jannine has built a diverse and dedicated career. She began as a CNA for six years before becoming a floor nurse in both hospital and skilled nursing settings, later advancing into supervisory and managerial roles. Her passion for nursing started in childhood, continued through her early training overseas, and strengthened after she moved to the United States to further pursue her dream. Jannine recently joined Hale House and is grateful to be part of a compassionate, resident‑focused team. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her grandchildren and adult children and actively involved with her faith-based activities.

Sarkis Boyajian
Business Manager
Sarkis has served as the Business Manager since 2011, keeping track of our finances. He is our liaison for IRS inquiries, investment portfolio, and all accounting reports. He lives with his three beautiful girls (four if you count the puppy) in Boston’s Metrowest.

Jack McChesney
Facilities Manager
Jack has been Facilities Manager at Hale House since 2007. As the front person for building maintenance, Jack is the contact person for all construction and repair projects from the large (roof, window replacement, fire escape) to the small (printers, wifi, telephones). He is also the acting dad of Hale House, offering advice, comfort, and the occasional mild discipline to staff and residents when required. He loves his wife, beautiful daughter, dogs, and his lakeside home.
Margarette Dean
Administrative Assistant
Margarette joined Hale House in March 2024, as the Administrative Assistant. With over 25 years of experience supporting high-level executives, she is enthusiastic about her work and knows how to get the job done. She would describe herself as an open and honest person who does not believe in misleading other people and tries to be fair in everything she does. She has worked in both small and large companies, so she knows how to work in a variety of environments. When Margarette is not at work, she is enjoying her free time with her five children, cat, and dog in their Mattapan home.

Catherine Logan
Activities Director
Catherine has been with Hale House since 2013. As the Activities Director she uses her communication and organizing skills to encourage our seniors to socialize, stay active, and participate in activities like mobility classes, movie viewings, gardening, holiday parties, and outings throughout the Boston area. She works with assistants and volunteers to make sure that each Hale House resident starts every day feeling hopeful and happy that they are living their life to the fullest. Catherine unwinds by running with friends around her South Boston neighborhood and throughout the city.

Rebbecca Lafortune
Restaura, Director of Hospitality
My name is Rebecca Lafortune. I’m originally from Haiti and hold a bachelor's degree in hospitality management. I have been working in the hospitality industry for nearly 20 years and am truly passionate about creating warm, welcoming environments where people feel cared for. Outside of work, my greatest passion is my daughter, Joy. She lives with sickle cell disease, and as her mom, I am deeply committed to raising awareness about this incurable blood disorder. I participate in blood drives, marches, speaking engagements, and fundraising efforts to support the cause and advocate for families affected by sickle cell. I look forward to this amazing partnership and am so happy to be part of the Hale House family. Fun fact: My mom worked as a phlebotomist for Hale House for over 10 years!
